A North Dallas Top 100 Places to work personal injury law firm (2015, 2016) is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal. The ideal candidate has the ability to multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with paperless file systems, and ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.

Job Duties Snapshot:

  • Draft petitions, discovery requests and responses, motions, orders, demands, letters, trial documents, etc.
  • Schedule hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, and other meetings
  • Supervise the litigation team workflow
  • Proficient in E-Filing, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat & Needles.

Base Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of personal injury case litigation, including specific experience handling a high volume of personal injury litigation. (5 years preferred)
  • Must have the ability to work with minimal direction and exercise strong initiative, judgment, and confidentiality
  • Utilization of practice management software preferred (Needles,Time Matters etc.)
  • Able to remain in the seated position for an extended period of time and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed.
  • Some overtime will be required in order to timely accomplish work demands (overtime hours worked are paid at one and a half regular rate of pay) and to satisfy our firm's commitment to the professional development of personnel.

Standard work hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Additional evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
